Whilst exploring various options, she attended a digital marketing meetup where fellow business owners saw her potential and encouraged her to launch her own agency. Purkis had a vision for an agency that provides opportunities for recent graduates to kickstart their careers. She founded Marketing Purks Limited in early 2020 to offer bespoke marketing solutions to businesses in Cardiff and beyond.
Purkis’ motivation was to build an agency that inspires both clients and employees. Her vision has paid off, as Marketing Purks has achieved international success and now serves global clients. The agency has grown from a two-desk office into a multi-functional workspace housing a team of six marketing experts. For Purkis, the biggest reward is seeing the results of their work and building trusted relationships with clients.
Looking ahead, Purkis aims to continue expanding Marketing Purks internationally while maintaining a local focus. The agency will keep adapting to clients’ changing needs and building long-term partnerships. Purkis’ inspiring journey as an entrepreneur and the success of Marketing Purks has led to her being named a finalist in the 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards, known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship”. The awards ceremony will be held on November 20th at London’s Grosvenor House.
