After identifying a need for temperature-controlled and easily accessible bags to store allergy medication, Costa and Aspinall joined forces in 2022 to launch Allerpack.
Their personal experiences witnessing the challenges of storing allergy medication inspired Costa and Aspinall to create a solution. Costa, an allergy specialist, frequently saw patients transporting medication in unsuitable containers, while Aspinall wanted an efficient way to store her children’s allergy medication that was easy to identify and access in an emergency. Spotting an opportunity, they designed personalized canvas bags that are convenient, identifiable and help keep medication at the proper temperature.
In just its first year, Allerpack has already earned several accolades, including winning the Midlands Online Retail StartUp Award and being selected as finalists in two categories at the prestigious Great British Entrepreneur Awards: The Maker & Creator of the Year and Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year. Costa and Aspinall have ambitious plans for the future, aiming to expand across the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. They are currently searching for representatives to help promote and sell their innovative products on an international scale.
Costa and Aspinall have been selected as finalists for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023, known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship,” which will be held at London’s Grosvenor House on November 20th.
