Under his leadership, Moock has recycled over 500,000 toner cartridges, 155 tonnes of plastic and 60 tonnes of toner powder, making them the only recyclers in the UK with an exclusive downstream for reusing these materials.
Clowe’s goal is to revolutionize the industry through innovation and transparency. “It is only through innovation, pushing the boundaries of technology and pushing ourselves to be better we can create a process where plastics, not just from cartridges but all plastics can be recycled into something else,” says Clowe. He believes honesty and transparency are key to driving progress in recycling. “I am going to be honest and say we recycle 95% of the materials we receive through proper recycling. Additionally, the 5% of materials we can’t recycle I have active projects looking at how we can recycle these.”
Under Clowe’s leadership, Moock has already received several awards, including a Scottish Knowledge Exchange Award, recognition as a runner up in the Remade in Scotland Awards, and a 3-star Zero Waste Award. However, Clowe has even bigger ambitions. “An ambitious goal I have set myself and my business is to become the ‘go-to’ for toner cartridge recycling in the UK in 18 months,” he says.
With a commitment to innovation, transparency and pushing the boundaries of recycling, Graeme Clowe and Moock Environmental Solutions have established themselves as leaders revolutionizing the toner cartridge recycling industry. As finalists in the 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards, known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship”, Clowe and his team are poised to gain further recognition for their groundbreaking work.
