Spotting an opportunity in the market, the duo invested £250 to start Custom Esports, offering custom clothing for eSports competitors. Beginning locally, they showcased their jerseys at gaming events, building interest through word-of-mouth and social media. Their first international order came from California, proving demand for their products worldwide.
With passion and perseverance, Turner and Stevens grew Custom Esports into a six-figure global business. They have collaborated with major brands such as LinkedIn, Intel, Machinima, Chess.com, Konami, and Hewlett-Packard. From humble beginnings, their company now serves dedicated gamers across the world.
The founders credit their success to recognizing the potential of eSports early on. “With a love for gaming, two friends saw a gap in a very infant market and have grown globally,” said Turner. Their biggest achievement has been turning a small investment into a thriving company that has worked with some of the world’s most well-known organizations.
Always innovating, Custom Esports is launching an eco-friendly range of clothing made from recycled materials. Custom Esports aims to continue expanding their customization options and global reach.
Turner have been selected as finalists for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023, a prestigious event honouring the UK’s most disruptive entrepreneurs. Dubbed “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship,” the awards will be held in London on November 20th.
