After taking her second maternity leave, Johnson recognized the need for more flexible work options for new mothers. She also spotted an opportunity to help small retail brands access the expertise and tools typically only available to much larger companies. Johnson pivoted Flourish Retail to focus specifically on serving SME retailers, providing resources, consulting services, and hands-on support to help them boost sales and profits.
In just a few short years, Flourish Retail has built a reputation for helping brands achieve strong results and sustainable growth. Under Johnson’s leadership, the Flourish Retail team has expanded to match the increasing demand from retailers seeking their guidance. Although the business originally aimed to support micro brands and solo entrepreneurs, Johnson has strategically shifted focus to SME retailers while still offering free resources for fledgling businesses.
Johnson’s goal is to continue raising awareness about the importance of merchandising for small retail brands. By empowering brands with the skills and tools to grow in a profitable, scalable way, Flourish Retail plays an instrumental role in enabling the success and diversity of retail.
