Over the past 20 years Emma has built businesses internationally and led cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, operations and research and development.

She completed a management buy-out of a healthcare business and exited this business in late 2017, having increased shareholder value, entered new markets and launched innovative new products and business models.

Emma’s recent projects include development of successful international commercialisation strategies within international markets. She also supports smaller organisations with starting up, scaling up and gaining investment.

The main sectors in which she operates are healthcare, tech, pharmaceuticals, med-tech, AI and digital.

Emma is involved in both national and regional initiatives and is a Group Board Member of the UK India Business Council, where she is responsible for oversight of bi-lateral health strategy work between the UK and India.

Emma also sits on the nominations and remuneration committees for the UK India Business Council, and the governance committee of the Institute of Directors, where she sits on the National Council board. She is a board member of FutureEverything and is an Honorary Industry Fellow of Salford Univerity where she also sits on the Advisory Board of the Business School.

Additional, Emma has accompanied high profile Trade Missions to South East Asia, China and India, aiming to strengthen trade relations and signing joint agreements.

Emma was awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours 2017 for Services to Exporting and speaks on international trade, digital transformation and investment.
