Launched in 2022, RE24 is the brainchild of Dhanushka, who was determined to help companies tackle rising energy costs in an environmentally-friendly way. His vision was to make green energy affordable, traceable and accessible for organisations of all sizes. With a team of specialists in energy, technology and the market, RE24 provides a platform for energy suppliers to secure long-term revenue from their renewable assets.
RE24 has enabled over 1GWh of new renewable energy to come online across seven countries. After initial success in the UK, the company expanded into Ireland. This rapid growth and innovation have already been recognised, with RE24 named as a finalist in the prestigious 2022 Platts Global Energy Awards. They have also won three grants from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, in their first year of business.
Looking to the future, RE24 aims to continue expanding its customer base throughout Europe. While celebrating their first year in business, RE24 remains committed to supporting the UK’s 2035 electricity network decarbonization targets and 2050 Net Zero goals.
Dhanushka’s vision and leadership have established RE24 as an instrumental force in the transition to renewable energy. His ambition and passion for empowering businesses with affordable green solutions make him a worthy finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023, known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship”. The awards ceremony will be held at London’s Grosvenor House on November 20th.
