Manoj Sankara Kumar and Vishalini Venkatachalam, NHS doctors turned entrepreneurs, are poised to revolutionize healthcare through innovation, earning them a finalist spot at the 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards for their remarkable achievements

Manoj Sankara Kumar and Vishalini Venkatachalam are pioneering doctors and entrepreneurs on a mission to transform healthcare through technology and innovation. In 2019, the NHS doctors founded Rathin Med Ltd to bring innovative solutions into practice and improve patient care.

Rathin Med’s goal is to enhance access to high-quality healthcare for all. Their biggest achievement to date was winning the prestigious Eureka Eurostars competition in 2022, securing £80,000 in funding to collaborate with Swedish medtech company Innovosens. Rathin Med is currently leading a 12-month Innovate UK project, successfully completing the first two quarters. Earlier this year, one of Rathin Med’s founders also secured a place in the coveted NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.

Looking ahead, Rathin Med aims to shape the future of healthcare through emerging technologies. Their ambitious roadmap includes developing Healthcare as a Service through drones and improving breast cancer screening. Rathin Med is working hard to achieve the NHS’ long term plan and net zero goals, bringing sustainable healthcare solutions to communities across the UK.
